TEXHMS delivers a comprehensive hospital management-suite. TEXHMS works on personal computers (PCs), configured in client server architecture. The design is modular. The various modules of TEXHMS can work stand alone for small hospitals to meet their various requirements. TEXHMS can be integrated and customized for individual needs of a multi-specialty hospital. The solution employs Graphic User Interface (GUI) and Object Oriented technology. It exploits the rich features of the front end Visual Basic 6.0. For the back end it uses SQL Server as its Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). TEXHMS can also use any other RDBMS like ORACLE, since it is Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant.
TEXHMS is very truly user friendly
with the screens using the popup windows, dropdown list box with pre-coded data to be
click selected by the user. Flexibility has been built into the design so that the system
can be tailored to meet different user requirements. Each module in the system has a network style security and enables the supervisor (System Administrator) to create users and define access privileges for each user. Users at a particular department in the hospital can access the relevant information pertaining to them. Software options fully menu driven with MDI frame facility (Multiple Document Interface - Users can open more than one screen at a time). GUI based screen design ( Visual Basic Ver 6.0) and Relational Database (e.g. SQL Server) used for data storage. Provides open ended adoptability of software for future hospital expansion facilitates, Computer terminals and increase in volume of transactions in any module. Highly relevant on-line enquiry facility support. Flexibility for phased installation and integration of modules. Protection from software obsolescence with new release of HMS modules on the latest Hardware and software. Unique Integration linkages and Auto posting setup definable by Database Administrator for Hospital Revenue, Expenses, Doctors accounting ledgers |
