Fibre Bale Manager |
| The system throws up any receipt discrepancies against purchase order and requisitions. | ||||
For each lot received and tested by quality assurance, the system calculates the Fibre Index. The Fibre Index is based on characteristics like Micronaire, Maturity, Index, Trash Content, Bundle Strength and Staple Length. The solution has capabilities to directly upload data from various computerised fibre testing equipment. The system aids in selecting appropriate raw material to maximise product quality and optimise mixing costs. |
Categorization of the Raw Materials. |
All the Raw Materials that are used by the Spinning Mill are divided into categories. The criteria for this division are the type of the Material, what is available in the market, the Quality Properties, the purpose that it will be used, the origin and other specific parameters of the Raw Material. The Standard Quality Properties and tolerances are specified for each category. |
Purchasing of the Raw Materials. |
Everything that concerns Contracts with a vendor or Agent and the status of the Material Deliveries are inserted into the system. |
Raw Material Testing |
The Test results by the majority of the Fiber Testing Instruments are integrated automatically in the MOCS via "Fibre Bale Managment System" and combined with the specific Material Delivery. All deviations to the standards are marked with Red Colors. |
Classification - Warehousing |
The Recived Material can be classified and stored in the Raw Material Warehouse. The criteria for this storing is Classification Results, the Origin, the Contract etc. Storing can be made in one of the existing Cells of the warehouse together with other Material or in a new Cell. The Raw Material Inventory is thus available to the user. |
Blending |
Special Tools are given for the preparation of the Recipes of Fiber Blending. The properties of each component of the blend as well as the average properties of the blend it self can be checked. |
Consuming The Raw Material Consumption is made with the connection of a Blend Recipe to the Fibers Inventory. Each component of the Blend is consumed by a Cell in the Warehouse. A " Consumption Order" is inserted for every Blend that is consumed. This order carries all the specific characteristics of each component of the Blend (quantity, quality, cost). Of course, all this data is stored into the MOCS' s Data Base together with all the other activities of the company and appear on any computer that is connected to the system. The impact of using the "Fiber Bale Management System" in a textile organisation is tremendous. FBMS provides data and tools for everybody who works with Raw Materials. |
