Fabric Inspector |
|
|
|
|
|
Texcomp's Fabric Inspector is skillful in
more ways than one. The solution monitors fabrics quality and raises product packing
efficiency. Texcomp's Fabric Inspector makes it possible to inspect the final product and
collect all fabric defect data. This data gives you a double advantage: |
|
|
- You have precise information on the fabric rolls to
optimise packing.
- You have access to all fabric defect data give you the
true picture of fabric quality and to make snap cost-saving decision your manufacturing.
|
|
|
 |
The solution provides your organisation with
a complete inventory of defects, while the fabric is being inspected on the folding table.
The solution records all the defects, location on the roll and the severity of the defect.
Based on the final product specifications, the solution presents an optimal
cutting-mending master plan. The solution incorporates a proprietary algorithm that suggest
optimal packing of the final product over many fabric rolls, taking into account good
length pieces mixed with short length seconds. The
solution combines robust software architecture and industrial strength hardware to scale
to any requirement. The solution is easy to configure, deploy, administer and use. Call us
today to explore how Texcomp's Fabric Inspector can add value to your organisation. |

On-loom Fabric Inspection |
 |
In order to reduce the high quality risk on machines equipped with off loom take ups,
Texcomp offers a solution for "on-loom" inspection. Using the data entry
capabilities of Texcomp s data units, the inspector enters the defect codes. Each
entry is automatically related to the pick counter, allowing the generation of a defect
map during weaving. |
|
|
|
Based on the concentration of defects and stops, the system predicts the quality of the
fabric. Alarm messages are sent in case of an off quality product and at doffing a quality
advice is formulated. |

Quality Reporting |
|
|
The Texcomp's fabric inspection software offers extensive reporting allowing the user to
make conclusions related to weaving, weaving preparatory and even to yarn manufacturing.
These reports can be customized to suit the needs of every textile mill.
With the help of the Graphical User Interface, every Manager has access to reliable and
up-to-date quality and defect information from the data base.
Typical reports available are: |
|
|
- Pareto analysis
Together with defect codes and severity, all relevant data identifying the piece is
stored. This means that for each piece the sort no., the weavers and the loom number are
known in the data base, which allows an analysis as per any of these data base keys. A
well-known method to present these analysis results is the Pareto chart : this
easy-to-read report shows that 80% of all defects are caused by only 20% of all defect
causes.
- Defect analysis by sort
Different sort can also be compared with each other as far as defect ratio or points are
concerned. This type of analysis is typically used to identify critical styles from a
quality point of view.
- Inspector performance
At the beginning of the shift, the inspector logs on. This allows the manager to follow up
on the inspected length and the defects detected by each operator. Managers can compare
several inspectors for the same style over a longer period of time. From this type of
report, the quality control manager can easily spot the inspectors needing additional
training for a specific style or others that are slower than the average.
